Welcome
to the history pages of St. Paul's Anglican Church. When
I had volunteered my time to this web site, I hadn't realized how much I'd learn
from putting these pages together. I considered a history page as standard
fare for a church web site. Sometimes putting content into a web page is
easy especially when the
information is available in an electronic file format. Sometimes
however, the electronic format does not exist and it must be simply and painstakingly read and transcribed.
In
creating these pages there was much to learn from the rich history behind
St. Paul's. We sometimes take it for granted and
don't give much thought as to why or how things come to be. St. Paul's,
though small at the époque in comparison to other churches in the area, was
built on a very strong foundation... and I don't mean the building's
brick or masonry work, but a strong foundation of people, both clergy and
congregation. A strong foundation of people who may
have lived different lives in a different era from ours but
much like us prayed, worshipped and sought the guidance of our Lord through
life's trials and tribulations. Throughout the years gone by,
sometimes shaken but always rebounding, this very same foundation today is still
very evident in all of us at St. Paul's.
I hope you all enjoy
what you will read in the pages to follow as much as I have
enjoyed putting them together. I recommend you follow the links to the
left in
the same order listed. Please be patient if you are on a dialup
connection, as some of the links will also download pictures.

(Please
note that some of the pages in the links to the left contain numerous photos
which will take a long time to download especially if your internet connection
is a modem dialup. Please be patient when viewing these pages)
